1. The E.W. Scripps Company, 805moms.com and Coastal Pediatric Medical Group are the sole sponsors of this contest. Legoland, California is not affiliated with or in any way responsible for this giveaway.
2. CONTEST DESCRIPTION: 805moms.com “Legoland Vacation Getaway Contest” is a contest sponsored by The E.W. Scripps Company (“Sponsor”) in which participants may enter for a chance to win a Legoland Family Vacation Package valued at $894. Entry submissions will be accepted beginning at 12:00:01 AM (PST) on June 25, 2008. Contest ends at 11:59:59 (PST) on July 25, 2008. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected to receive the following: Two (2) nights accommodation in a standard room at the Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel, Carlsbad, California, plus two (2) adult and two (2) child admission tickets to Legoland California, plus one (1) $50 gift card redeemable at Legoland California (total retail value $894).
3. ELIGIBILITY: 805moms.com “Legoland Vacation Getaway Contest” is open only to legal U.S. residents who reside in Ventura, Los Angeles, or Santa Barbara Counties, California. Participants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry and must have a valid Social Security Card and major credit card (for hotel reservation). Employees, agents, independent contractors, prize sponsors, advertising partners of The E.W. Scripps Company, the Ventura County Star and their families are not eligible to participate.
4. TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. To enter the 805moms.com “Legoland Vacation Getaway Contest” giveaway, entrants must do the following.
ONLINE: Between 12:00:01 AM (PST) on June 25, 2008 and 11:59:59 (PST) on July 25, 2008 (“Entry Period”) participants may enter the 805moms.com “Legoland Vacation Getaway Contest” by visiting http://805moms.imoms.com/contest.php, completing and submitting the form. By entering the Contest online, participants acknowledge that they are aware of and agree with the Sponsor’s privacy policy located at: http://805moms.imoms.com/privacy-policy.php. Sponsor is not responsible for malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer hardware, software, malfunctions of the participant’s e-mail provider, lost, late, incomplete entries or entries not received in time for the drawings. Sponsor is not responsible for any technical problems related to website entries.
Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest in the event that it becomes infected by a computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired and award prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation or termination. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service will apply. Entry submission will be accepted beginning at 12:00:01 AM (PST) on June 25, 2008 and must be received no later than 11:59:59 (PST) on July 25, 2008 to be eligible. Limit one (1) entry per household during the entry period. Subsequent entries submitted by the same participant will be void.
ALTERNATE MEANS OF ENTERING: You may also enter the 805moms.com “Legoland Vacation Getaway Contest” by hand printing “Legoland Vacation Getaway Contest” in block letters, on a postcard with your name, address and phone number and mail it to “Legoland Vacation Getaway Contest” c/o 805moms.com; P.O. Box 6007, Camarillo, CA 93011. All entries must be postmarked no earlier than June 25, 2008 or no later than July 25, 2008 and received by August 1, 2008. Sponsor is not responsible for entries delayed or lost in the mail. Be sure your name, address and phone number are complete. Mechanically reproduced entries will not be accepted. Limit one (1) entry per household during the entry period. Subsequent entries submitted by the same participant will be void.
5. WINNER SELECTION: (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected at random on or about August 4, 2008. Winners will be notified via email or telephone contact on or about August 4, 2008. In the event contact cannot be made within three days of drawing, a new entry will be drawn at random.
As a condition of winning, winners will be required to sign and return, within 14 days of notification, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release from Liability (“Release”) and a statement affirming the winner’s grant of all rights in the submission and the right to use winner’s name, likenesses and photograph in all media for promotional purposes to Sponsor without further compensation. Failure to return any documents within the time specified or failure to respond to notification attempts or return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the website or otherwise disregarding these instructions.
6. PRIZES: Two (2) nights accommodation in a standard room at the Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel, Carlsbad, California (valued at $711), two (2) adult and two (2) child admission tickets to Legoland California (valued at $133), plus one (1) $50 gift card redeemable at Legoland California (total prize value $894). Prize package value based on two (2) nights accommodation at Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel, Carlsbad, California booked for August 22 – 24, 2008 (valued at $711). If winner chooses to change accommodation dates or upgrade accommodations subject to availability, prize value may be applied toward the total of vacation package. Any amount over $711 for the accommodation portion must be paid directly to the Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel.
Prize(s) are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. No substitution in lieu of prize unless at the sole discretion of Sponsor.
7. GENERAL: By entering the Contest, winner agrees to waive any and all claims against the E.W. Scripps Company d/b/a Ventura County Star, its parent corporations, subsidiaries affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, prize sponsors and representatives for personal injury or loss that may occur from the participation in this Contest or from the receipt or use of any prize.
Sponsor, its parent corporation, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Contest-related materials; stolen, late, lost, garbled, delayed, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, postage due or illegible entries. If, in the Sponsor’s exclusive judgment, this Contest becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the Contest offer, cancel any method of entry, void any entries submitted fraudulently, or select winners from all eligible entries received prior to the act that compromised the Contest.
By entering the contest, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by the Contest rules and the decision of the judges, which shall be final. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes. Grand Prize Winner will be issued an IRS 1099 Income Tax Form in the amount of the ARV of any prize accepted over $600.
